A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board Meetings. August 20, 2014 5:00 PM Chair Schachnter indicated the minutes would stand as presented RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT* BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Government Center Vacant Space County Administrator Thompson presented and discussed the Facilities Building Project Request Form, and how it pertains to Government Center Vacant Space. Departments requesting additional space must complete the form. Several forms have been submitted by departments at the Government Center and are being reviewed. The Committee discussed the vacant space and the procedures to follow from Facilities. Motion by Berke, 2nd by Sjoberg to approve the procedure, however removing "Long Range Facility Planning Committee" language on the form with quarterly review by the Administration Committee of vacant space in county buildings RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] AYES: Travis Schachtner, Roy Sjoberg, Jill Ann Berke, Ron Kiesler, Judy Achterhof 2. Risk Management Funds Presentation Risk Manager Kristen Ziliak gave an overview of the County's Risk Management Budget. Kristen addressed questions from the Committee. A recommendation was made to seek a competitive liability insurance quote to be compared to the WMMIC liability premium and coverage's. The WMMIC liability policy renews January 1, 2015 and requires 60 day notice of non-renewal. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Resolution Supporting Maintaining the Existing County Administrator Form of Government Motion by Sjoberg, 2nd by Kiesler to adopt the Resolution Supporting Maintaining the Existing County Administrator Form of Government. Motion carried 4:1 RESULT: APPROVED [4 TO 1] MOVER: Roy Sjoberg, Supervisor SECONDER: Ron Kiesler, Vice Chair AYES: Travis Schachtner, Roy Sjoberg, Ron Kiesler, Judy Achterhof NAYS: Jill Ann Berke 4. Resolution Amending the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Handbook Revised articles 1-21 of the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Handbook were presented to the Committee. Corporation Counsel suggested some additional changes. Discussion. Motion by Sjoberg, 2nd by Achterhof to approve the Resolution Amending the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Handbook with suggested changes to the attachments. Carried Unanimously.
