Administration Committee – Regular Meeting – September 16, 2019 5:00 PM RESULT: ACCEPTED 2. Administration Committee – Special Meeting – October 1, 2019 4:00 PM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT Library patron spoke in support of library hot spots. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Financial Report for September 2019 Administrator Thompson reviewed September financial reports. Everything is on target. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Presentation by Chair of the County Library Planning Committee 'Hot Spots are Hot Items' Barbara Krueger from Deer Park Library presented a report on the County grant for library hotspots. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Resolution Approving Alteration of Supervisory District Boundary - Village of Somerset (Earl Belisle - 2 Acres) Moved by Fosterling, seconded by Hable to recommend Resolution altering supervisory districts. Motion carried 5-0. RESULT: RECOMMENDED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Dan Fosterling, Supervisor SECONDER: Nancy Hable, Supervisor AYES: Roy Sjoberg, Tammy Moothedan, Dan Fosterling, David Peterson, Nancy Hable 4. Tax Deed Bid Consideration County Clerk Campbell reviewed bids for tax deed parcels. Moved by Sjoberg, seconded by Moothedan to approve Village of Hammond bid for $100. Motion carried 5-0. Moved by Fosterling, seconded by Hable to approve Village of Somerset bid of $450. Motion carried 5-0. Moved by Sjoberg, seconded by Fosterling to approve Village of Deer Park higher bid of $5822. Motion carried 5-0. Moved by Sjoberg, seconded by Peterson to approved Town of Somerset bid of $20,500. Motion carried 4-1 with Fosterling voting against the motion. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Roy Sjoberg, Vice-Chair SECONDER: Tammy Moothedan, Supervisor AYES: Roy Sjoberg, Tammy Moothedan, Dan Fosterling, David Peterson, Nancy Hable 5. Resolution Approving Library Exemption from Tax Levy Moved by Sjoberg, seconded by Moothedan to recommend approval of library exemption resolution. Motion carried 5-0. RESULT: RECOMMENDED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Roy Sjoberg, Vice-Chair SECONDER: Tammy Moothedan, Supervisor AYES: Roy Sjoberg, Tammy Moothedan, Dan Fosterling, David Peterson, Nancy Hable 6. Resolution to Charge Back Municipalities Due To Incorrect Real Estate Taxes Moved by Peterson, seconded by Sjoberg to recommend approval of resolution for charge back of incorrect taxes. Motion carried 5-0. RESULT: RECOMMENDED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: David Peterson, Chair SECONDER: Roy Sjoberg, Vice-Chair AYES: Roy Sjoberg, Tammy Moothedan, Dan Fosterling, David Peterson, Nancy Hable 7. Resolution Adopting Budget and Establishing Tax Levy Administrator Thompson updated the changes to his recommended budget. Moved by Moothedan, seconded by Hable to recommend adoption of resolution establishing the tax levy and approving 2020 budget. Motion carried 4-1 with Fosterling voting against. RESULT: RECOMMENDED [4 TO 1] MOVER: Tammy Moothedan, Supervisor SECONDER: Nancy Hable, Supervisor AYES: Roy Sjoberg, Tammy Moothedan, David Peterson, Nancy Hable NAYS: Dan Fosterling REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE HR Director Davies-Fox reported a promotion increase that exceeded 5%, reporting as required by the personnel manual.
