PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING

Date: February 5, 2003 Location: Government Center, Hudson
The Personnel Committee meeting was called to order at 9:35 a.m. by Chairman
Daryl Standafer. Members present: Standafer, Dick King and Julie Speer. Excused
absence: Stan Krueger and Leon Berenschot. Also present: Debra Kathan and Steve
Weld.
Moved (King, Speer) and approved to adopt the agenda as presented. Moved
(King, Speer) and approved to accept the minutes of the December 19 meeting. The next
meeting was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on February 12 at the Government Center. The
Committee will be mediating with the Human Services Non -Pro Union. Steve Bohrer
was appointed as the mediator for this group.
The Committee discussed the final offer issued from the LAW group. The
mediator delivered the final offer from the Highway Union, as prepared by their
businesss agent, Steve Hartmann. The Committee discussed labor issues related to the
bargaining process.
Motion (Speer, King) to go into closed session per WI Stat. 19.85 (1) c for the
purpose of mediation with the GGSS Union. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into closed
session at 10:42 a.m.
The Mediator declared an impasse at 2:10 p.m. He noted that final proposals
would be exchanged at a date determined by Steve Hartmann and Steve Weld. Moved
(Speer, King) and approved to come out of closed session at 2:10 p.m.
Standafer adjourned the meeting at 2:10 p.m.
