1. Administration Committee – Regular Meeting – May 18, 2021 5:00 PM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Financial Report for May 2021
Administrator Witt discussed the financials for May 2021. He touched on the RHS fund as
well as the sales tax report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Resolution Approving Alteration of Supervisory District Boundary - Town of Somerset
(Melvin - 7 Acres)
County Clerk Cindy Campbell discussed the main highlights of this resolution. This would
include detaching approximately 7 acres from the Village of Somerset and attaching it to
the Town of Somerset. It would also alter the supervisory district from Ward 2, County
Supervisor District 1 to Ward 3, County Supervisor District 2. The board asked if there
were any significant impacts and none were observed. The resolution was moved by
Supervisor Ard and seconded by Supervisor Peavey. The motion carried 4-0.
RESULT: RECOMMENDED [UNANIMOUS]

3. Review Capital Improvement Plan
Administrator Witt reviewed the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and went into detail
reviewing some of the upcoming improvements and projects that are in the plan. The
CIP depicts dollar changes in blue and new projects are shown in red. Many of the new
projects are upgrades that are needed to upkeep the government buildings and must be
completed over time. There was a discussion of how a building expansion at the
Government Center may impact these projects and how it may be beneficial to
incorporate some of these projects at that time.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Resolution Updating Personnel Policies
HR Advisor Noel discussed changes to 5 different personnel policies. The resolution
was moved by Supervisor Ard and seconded by Supervisor Long. The motion carried
4-0.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The County Fair will be in July which will include the Employee Picnic at the fair on July 15, 2021.
I.T provided an update on the broadband survey and 747 responses have been received through
social media. Surveys will be mailed out to residents of St. Croix County starting at the end of
the week following into the next week.
