PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING

Date: December 15 -16, 2003 Location: Government Center, Hudson
The Personnel Committee meeting was called to order at 12:10 p.m., December
15, by Chairman Daryl Standafer. Members present: Berenschot, Stan Krueger, Dick
King, and Standafer. Julie Speer arrived at 1:30 p.m.. Also present: Debra Kathan,
Steve Weld, and Chuck Whiting.
Moved (Berenschot, King) and approved to adopt the agenda as presented.
Motion (Berenschot, Krueger) to go into closed session per WI Stat. 19.85 (1) c for the
purpose of mediation with the AFSCME unions. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into
closed session at 12:12 p.m. Serving as mediator was David Shaw from the WI
Employment Relations Commission. Representing the GGSS Union were Lisa Dahl,
Marion Standaert, and Kathy Spott. Business agent Steve Hartmann was present to
represent the other AFSCME bargaining units as well —Human Services/Non -Pro, Health
Center (Nursing Home), and Highway.
Standafer recessed the meeting at 5:35 p.m. The meeting was reconvened at 9
a.m. on December 16. All of the AFSCME unions had representatives in attendance;
Shaw continued to serve as mediator. Moved (Berenschot, Speer) and approved to come
out of closed session at 2:09 p.m. Standafer announced that tentative agreements had
been reached with the GGSS Union and the HS Non -Pro Union for 2003 -2005 contracts.
The Highway Union and Health Center Union indicated that they would take the
bargained offers back to their membership for a vote —also for 2003 -2005 contracts.
Standafer adjourned the meeting at 2:10 p.m.
