CALL TO ORDER
Chair Malick called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. Hokkanen, Derek – Conditional Use
COMMENTS - Current Meeting:
Blackburn presented staff report for the Conditional Use request to operate a small auto repair
business on their home property.
Questions/Clarification were received from Board.
Applicants spoke in favor.
There were no comments in opposition.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. June 26, 2014 8:30 AM
The June 26, 2014 Minutes were accepted as distributed.
RESULT: ACCEPTED
SITE VISITS
The Board Recessed at 9:15 a.m.
The Board Reconvened at 10:45
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Hokkanen, Derek – Conditional Use request to operate a small Auto Repair Business.
Motion by Peterson, 2nd by Sontag to approve with 7 findings and 7 conditions.
Motion carried unanimously. (Specifics on file in the Community Development
Department)
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]
MOVER: David Peterson, Vice Chair
SECONDER: Edward Sontag, Citizen
AYES: Buck Malick, David Peterson, James Nelson, Edward Sontag
EXCUSED: Jerry McAllister
2. Bylaws and Procedures Discussion Item with possible action
Motion by Sontag, 2nd Peterson to recommend approval of revision.
Motion carried unanimously.(Specifics on file in the Community Development
Department)
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Discussion regarding the agenda notification and arrangements for the Ann Blide/Ben
Hanke/Calda Donna site visit scheduled in August.
Denzer announced the St. Croix Workshop on the Water that is scheduled for Tuesday, July
29th from 5 to 9 p.m. leaving from the Hudson Cruise Line Grand Duchess in Hudson.
Presentations will focus on educational information on protecting and improving water resources
in the St. Croix River basin.
