PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. Milestone Materials- Renew Conditional Use Permit for Non-Metallic Mining -
Springfield Quarry
Public Hearing opened at 8:48 a.m. Candy Anderson of Milestone Materials speaks - they
will remove reference to Ag land on reclamation plan as requested by amendments.
Miller asks about depth of pond. Malick questions hours. Anderson addresses questions.
No other comments heard. Closed at 10:43 a.m.
SITE VISITS
Recess for site visit at 8:53 a.m. Return at 10:41 a.m. Board members gave their site observations
upon return.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Milestone Materials- Renew Conditional Use Permit for Non-Metallic Mining operation
in the AG-2 Agricultural District pursuant to Section 17.145 C.7. of the St. Croix County
Zoning Ordinance
Blackburn presented. Sontag commended Milestone Materials for the great job of
reclamation. In findings changing wording packet page 16, item 14, change Highway
dept to DOT.
MOTION: To renew the Conditional Use Permit for Non-Metallic Mining for
Milestone Materials at the Springfield Site.
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]
MOVER: Edward Sontag, Citizen
SECONDER: Joe Miller, Alternate to Board of Adjustment
