Richmond
Candy Anderson, Milestone Materials, spoke regarding the renewal. Hearing opened at
8:33 AM; closed at 8:39 AM.
2. Conditional Use Request - Temporary Concrete Batch Plant -Peabody/Petit - Town of
Pleasant Valley
Hearing opened at 8:41 AM. Closed at 8:52 AM.
3. Conditional Use Request - Indoor Recreational Facility - Tronnes/Yule - Town of
Somerset
Hearing opened at 8:52 AM. Closed at 9:12 AM.
4. Conditional Use Request - Animal Shelter, Boarding Kennel, Educational Center - St.
Croix Animal Friends - Town of Warren
Hearing opened at 9:20 AM. Recess from 10:37 AM for site visits. Tabled.

1. Conditional Use Renewal for Non-Metallic Mining -Tammec, LLC - Town of
Richmond
Nicole Hays, Land Use Technician II, gave the presentation and staff recommendation.
MOTION: To approve the renewal of this non-metallic mining conditional use
request.
RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS]

2. Conditional Use Request - Temporary Concrete Batch Plant - Trierweiler Const. -
Town of Pleasant Valley
MOTION: To approve the conditional use request for a temporary concrete
batch plant.
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

3. Conditional Use Request - Indoor Recreational Facility - Yule - Town of Somerset
Nicole Hays, Land Use Technician II, gave the staff report regarding the request for a
conditional use permit for a mobile shooting range. Exhibit 4 was handed out - letter
from St. Croix County Sheriff. A fence will be installed per the conditional use permit
already authorized.
MOTION: To approve the conditional use permit for a mobile shooting range as
presented by staff with the mobile language added.
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

4. Conditional Use Request - Animal Shelter, Boarding Kennel, Educational Center - St.
Croix Animal Friends - Town of Warren
Kevin Grabau, Land Use Administrator, gave the staff report and answered questions of
the board.
MOTION: To approve the conditional use permit for an Animal Shelter,
Boarding Kennel as presented by staff.
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]

5. Motion To: Variance to Kennel Structure setback: St. Croix Animal Friends
COMMENTS - Current Meeting:
St. Croix County Ordinance Ch. 17.12 (15) (b): Kennel Structu res shall be setback at
least 300 feet from all property lines.
The 300-foot setback from all property lines (P/L) would prevent the construction of a
commercial kennel. Requesting to conform to Commercial District Setbacks instead.
Hearing left open to allow for amended application including future expansion.
MOTION: To table the Variance request for the Animal Shelter to allow the applicant to
update the site plans to include future planning and development.
RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS]
