Committee of the Whole Work Session May 25, 2021 4:00 PM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT None BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Strategic Planning Session - Visioning/Strategy Formulation Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service (WIPPS) Project Manger Yengyee Lor and Executive Director Eric Giordano guided County Board members and department heads in the strategic planning session. Review draft of Vision Statement and Mission Statement. It was suggested to add the word "To" at the beginning of the Vision Statement to read: To be the county that delivers service with compassion and respect for people and the environment. The proposed Mission Statement: We will strengthen our social and economic future by providing health, safety, and well- being for all. Motion by Peterson, 2nd by Hansen to accept the Vision Statement including the word "To" at the beginning of the sentence and accept the Mission Statement. Passed. Review of Comp. Plan by Community Development Director Ellen Denzer and HHS Director Bob Rohret and Supervisor Cathy Leaf. Motion by Hall, 2nd by Leaf to accept the Department Head categories to set goals and objectives: Natural Resources, Service Delivery, Public Infrastructure, Community Well-Being. Motion passed. Groups met by categories of their choice to discuss goals and objectives. Review of each category goals and objectives. Lor explained next steps are to write the strategic plan draft and send out for review by July 23rd. Ken Witt, Bob Rohret, Carah Koch and Bob Feidler volunteered to help Lor prepare the plan draft. The Strategic Plan will be presented on July 27th. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS None ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE None ADJOURN 7:17 PM DATE OF NEXT MEETING July 27, 2021
