BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Review of 2022 County Administrator Recommended Budget
County Administrator Ken Witt presented the proposed 2022 budget. Review of budget
process and schedule. Budget priorities are Health Insurance, Compensation Increase for
Employees, New Positions and Operating Expenses. Review of strategic goals, financial
condition of the county, changes in revenue sources and expenditures, staffing requests
and staffing changes, and employee benefit changes.
Mill rate $3.11 per thousand dollars of equalized value which is a 6.2% decrease in the
mill rate. Review of 2023 Budget Forecast.
Review of department budgets by County Administrator Witt and Finance Director Leah
Simington.
Supr. Koch thanked the Witt and Simington for their work on the budget.
