BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Review 2023 County Administrator Recommended Budget
County Administrator Ken Witt presented the proposed 2023 budget. Administrator Witt
reviewed the process that is used to come up with the budget, the priorities set by the
County Board, strategic goals, financial condition of the county, debt, major changes,
revenue and expenditures, staffing changes and employee benefits.
The mill rate will be reduced by .56% in 2023 from $3.11 to $3.09.
Review of department budgets by County Administrator Witt and Finance Director Leah
Simington.
