Town of Forest Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The St. Croix County Community Development Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 6:00
p.m. or shortly thereafter, at the Hudson Government Center’s County Board Room, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson,
Wisconsin, to consider the following:
1) Town of Forest Adopting Town Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map. The Town of Forest adopted a resolution on
October 15, 2013, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 61.35, authorizing the Town Board of the Town of Forest to enact Town
Zoning Ordinances. Since St. Croix County has general zoning, a Town exercising village powers must receive County
Board approval of their Town zoning ordinance prior to it becoming effective. The CDC will hold a public hearing and
provide a recommendation for County Board action.
The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a hearing shortly thereafter on Shoreland Overlay Districts. Immediately following, the
hearing on the Town of Forest Zoning Ordinance and corresponding zoning map will begin.
Copies of the Town adopted zoning ordinance and zoning map are available at the Community Development Department,
Government Center, Hudson and the Agriculture Service & Education Center, Baldwin. For minutes and background information
related to the Town of Forest Comprehensive Plan and Town adoption of the zoning ordinance and map, please contact the Town
of Forest directly.
Oral and written comments will be accepted through the end of the hearing. Comments may also be submitted prior to, or at the
hearing; in person, by mail, fax or email to:
