1. Financial Reports
Discussion held, no action was taken.
2. Town of Troy Draft Zoning Ordinance
Discussion on whether to hold a public hearing, Committee decided to hold a public
hearing to be consistent with approach used for Town of Forest. Hearing will be at 6:30
p.m. at the July 17th meeting. County Board action is expected at the August or
September meeting depending on how the hearing goes.
3. Adoption of Town Zoning Maps
Discussion on whether this hearing should be before or after Troy zoning ordinance
hearing. Committee decided to hold public hearing immediately after the Town of Troy
Zoning Ordinance hearing at the July 17th meeting. County Board action is expected at
the August or September meeting depending on how the hearing goes.
4. Riverway Mitigation MOU Project Update
Committee members discussed the bluffline mitigation funds and whether acquisition or
conservation easements would have more impact on water quality, resource protection
and scenic values as required in the Memorandum of Understanding. Use of farmland
easements or easements or acquisition at sensitive or eroding sites was the central
question. Committee requested this item be placed on the August or September
Committee agenda. Staff to request outside speakers and provide additional information.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Denzer announced two upcoming events and handed out flyers. The St. Croix Workshop on the
Water will be on Tuesday, July 29th from 5 to 9 p.m. leaving from the Hudson Cruise Line
Grand Duchess in Hudson. Presentations will focus on educational information on protecting
and improving water resources in the St. Croix River basin. The second announcement is a quilt
raffle for the Bookworm Trail at Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake County Park. The raffle
will raise money to construct an educational stop on the trail about homesteading history in St.
Croix County.
