INFO/DISCUSSION ITEMS
1.Update on Recycling Program
Recycling Specialists Jon Tulman and Megen Hines presented an update on the 2014
recycling program and changes to the 2015 program. Discussion. Tulman is leaving the
County effective the end of December 2014. Community Development has hired him on
contract to update the County Solid Waste Plan over the next six months. Hines was hired
in November, allowing for a two-month transition and training time frame.

2.Discuss proposed Loop Trail connection to State Highway 35 and Bike Pedestrian
Coalition resolution of support
Ring introduced topic. Several members of the St. Croix Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition
were present to offer input to committee. Discussion. Committee requested representative
from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation be at the January meeting to provide
input and answer questions. This meeting should be a joint meeting with the
Transportation Committee and invite local communities and county legislators. Dan
Hansen offered to contact Transportation Committee as he is a member.

3.Discuss RFQ Scope and Public Engagement for Bike & Pedestrian Plan and Zoning
Ordinance Revisions
Budrow introduced topic and status of RFQ. Discussion and input regarding expanding
public engagement.
