2. Register of Deeds Update
ROD Beth Pabst provided program updates; highlights provided in attachment to the
minutes. Pabst left meeting at 6:34pm.
3. Resolution to Repeal Paragraph 23 of Motion #520 to the State of Wisconsin 2015-2017
Budget Bill Relative to Shoreland Zoning Standards
MOTION: Community Development Committee to adopt the resolution, with changes as
discussed, as a Committee resolution to be sent to the list identified at the end of the
resolution to meet the state budget timeframe; further this resolution to also be forwarded
as a recommendation to the full County Board for consideration and action. Denzer to
make changes as directed and confirm with Corporation Counsel that CDC can send a
Committee resolution.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Joan Sprain - UW-Extension report on state budget bill's impact and changes to UW-Extension.
Achterhof - Report on status of the violations that were the topic of citizen comments at the May
Meeting. Denzer will provide an update.
Ring - Property acquisition updates; Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance Revision project update;
and invite WisDOT Project manager Beth Thompson to an upcoming CDC meeting to provide
and update and discussion on St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail design. Denzer has contacted
her to attend the July. August or September meeting.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Denzer: Final contracts signed and received for the Bike and Pedestrian County-wide Trail plan
signed by WisDOT, consultant Toole & Associates and County. Signed contracts received this
week. Denzer complimented CDD staff Planning and Land Information Administrator Brett
Budrow and Senior Planner Amanda Engesether who did an excellent job. Our team was
complimented on work put in on scope, interview process and finishing two weeks ahead of the
July 1 deadline.
Hanson: Stated the Pope Frances’ statement regarding global warming will have long-term
impact on future generations being better stewards of natural resources.
