Community Development Committee – Regular Meeting – August 20, 2015 6:00 PM Approved as read RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT None heard BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Financial Reports RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. 2016 CDD Fee Schedule Community Development Department is proposing an $1,100.00 Permit Compliance deposit for Shoreland and Riverway Permits as noted on the updated Fee Schedule. Denzer reviewed justification. Change us to UP in the last line of the paragraph. MOTION to recommend to the county board to include this Permit Compliance Deposit in CDD budget. RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Daniel Hansen, Vice Chair SECONDER: Jill Ann Berke, Supervisor AYES: Agnes Ring, Jill Ann Berke, Daniel Hansen, Judy Achterhof, Shaela Leibfried 3. 2016 Community Development Departments Budget Review/Requests Beth Pabst - St. Croix County Register of Deeds reviewed her budget and answered the committee's questions. Ryan Sterry and Joan Sprain - UW Extension Co- Dept. Heads reviewed their budget and answered the committee's questions. Bob Mittet - Interim St. Croix County Finance Director reviewed the EDC budget and the Fair budget and answered committee questions. 4. Community Development Committee Comments for PIM on SCRC Bike and Pedestrian Trail Public meetings will be held 9/22 and 9/23 by CDD dept. and 9/29 with Wisconsin DOT. Several members of the Committee are planning to attend these meetings. The Committee did not find it necessary to make one statement from the committee as they will not be attending as a committee or representing St. Croix County, but as citizens and Town Supervisors. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS The Committee would like more details regarding the EDC budget (since the meeting these were requested from EDC and sent via email to all supervisors present). The Committee requested that the resolution passed by the County Board of Supervisors 25(2015) regarding repeal of the part of the Wisconsin Budget Bill relating to Shoreland Zoning be sent to 5 legislators who are pursuing a bill for the same (since the meeting this has been sent). ANNOUNCEMENTS AND CORRESPONDENCE 2 handouts were given to CDC members regarding the St. Croix River Crossing Trail meeting with WDOT (9/27/15) and the St. Croix County Bike and Pedestrian Trail meetings (9/22 and 9/23).
