Over the last few weeks I have had the opportunity to conduct several soil
investigations on the above property for possible A+0 mound installations. We
had some major difficulties with one lot because loggers had cut paths through a
number of different locations and destroyed one site that could have supported a
mound system. There are very deep ruts and associated compaction in many
locations throughout this parcel.
This memo is to alert you to potential problems because it is my understanding
that you will be returning to the site for finish contour and other survey work.
Please be alert for traffic through your previously evaluated areas. Where deep
ruts exist, we will not allow mound systems to be located. Some compaction
might be allowed in end slope or up slope areas but we need to be very precise
in how a mound is located under such conditions.
If you have any questions regarding this situation, please contact me.
