Community Development Committee – Regular Meeting – November 17, 2022 5:00 PM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT None PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. Request to rezone 39.0 acres in the Town of Cady from R-1 to AG-2 zoning district for Walquist Hearing opened at 5:03 PM - hearing closed at 5:14 PM. 2. Request to rezone 0.93 acres in the Town of Stanton from AG-1 to R-1 zoning district for Bensend Hearing opened at 5:15 PM - hearing closed at 5:25 PM BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance Section 33, Township 28N, Range 15W, Town of Cady - Rezoning 39 acres from R-1 Residential Zoning District to AG-2 Agricultural Zoning District John Hilgers, Senior Planner, presented the staff report to the committee. MOTION to approve the request to rezone 39 acres in the Town of Cady from R-1 Residential to AG-2 Agricultural Zoning District for Eric Walquist. RESULT: RECOMMENDED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Ryan Sherley, Supervisor SECONDER: Jerry VanSomeren, Supervisor AYES: Shawn Anderson, Scott Counter, Ryan Sherley, Jerry VanSomeren EXCUSED: Daniel Hansen, Dick Hesselink 2. Discussion of Setback Reduction Process for Plats & CSMs Director Denzer presented this to the committee. 8. Report on Glen Hills Park Campground Survey Ellen Denzer presented the information to the committee. 9. Resolution Authorizing Advisory Referendum to Issue Bonds for Development of Eckert Blufflands Park Ken Witt, County Administrator, presented this item to the committee. MOTION to postpone indefinitely the resolution authorizing advisory referendum for development of Eckert Blufflands Park.
