Community Development Committee – Regular Meeting – February 17, 2022 5:00 PM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT None. PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. To rezone approximately 50 acres from the C-3 Commercial Zoning District to the I-1 Industrial Zoning District, pursuant to Chapter 15.545 of the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance in the Town of Cady for Jason Haas. Hearing opened at 5:01 PM. Hearing closed at 5:23 PM 2. To reduce the platted structure setback on the lot from 100 feet to 50 feet along a possible future Town road pursuant to Section 13.10.B.1. of the St. Croix County Land Division Ordinance for Rossow in the Town of Somerset Hearing opened at 5:25 PM. Closed hearing 5:34 PM 3. To reduce the structure setback on the lot from 100 feet to 50 feet along 145th Avenue pursuant to Section 13.10 B. 1. of the St. Croix County Land Division Ordinance for Timm In the Town of Richmond. Hearing opened 5:35 PM. Closed hearing at 5:40 PM. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance; Parts of Section 10, Township 28N, Range 15W, Town of Cady - Rezoning 50 Acres from C-3 Commercial District to I-1 Industrial District. John Hilgers, Senior Planner, Presented the staff report and recommendations. MOTION to approve the rezoning of approximately 50 acres in the Town of Cady for Jason Haas from C-3 Commercial to I-1 Industrial pursuant to Chapter 15.545 of the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance as the staff recommended. RESULT: RECOMMENDED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Scott Counter, Supervisor SECONDER: Shawn Anderson, Supervisor AYES: Ed Schachtner, Shawn Anderson, Scott Counter, Judy Achterhof EXCUSED: Daniel Hansen, Dick Hesselink 2. Setback Reduction Request - Town of Somerset - Rossow Ellen Denzer, Community Development Director, presented the staff report. MOTION to approve the request for Rossow in the Town of Somerset to reduce the structure setback on the lot from 100 feet to 50 feet along a possible future town road pursuant to Section 13.10.B.1 of the St. Croix County Land Division Ordinance. Groundwater Quality Project Progress Update Adam Meade, Water Quality Specialist, and Tim Stieber, Resource Management Administrator, presented the update to the committee. 5. Recycling Events Update 6. Glen Hills Group Camp CIP Project Update Director Denzer discussed bidding process and stated that Derrick Construction has been chosen as the contractor for this project. 7. Financial Report for February 2022 Ken Witt, County Administrator, provided the financial reports. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND CORRESPONDENCE June 22nd - Conservation Tour - leaving from Ag Education Center in Baldwin. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Supervisor Anderson asked for an update on Snowcrest/St. Croix National DATE OF NEXT MEETING ADJOURN
