CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER 1101 Carmichael Road Hudson, WI W16-7710 (715) 386-4680 This letter is regarding the onsite inspection requested by Bennie Helgeson on property owned by the Village of Spring Valley located in the NE 114 of the NW Y4, Sec. 31, T28N- R15W, Town of Cady, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. On October 27, 1998, 1 verified the soil conditions as described in the soil and site evaluation report by Bennie Helgeson dated October 21, 1998. 1 inspected the four borings left open by Bennie. The soil descriptions of the borings investigated were similar to one another. Bennie did indicate that he tested other areas of the property and found that the borings were unsuitable for any type of septic system installation because of estimated high ground water and strong platy structure. My findings revealed that the site is unsuitable for a septic system to be installed in the soil conditions described, according to the state plumbing code— COMM 83. Holding tanks are prohibited by ordinance for new construction. You should be aware of that the Department of Commerce is currently proposing a new COMM 83. Some of the new rule changes in the proposed COMM 83, if approved, may allow for a septic system to be installed on the property. If there are any question regarding this issue please contact me.
