September 19, 2013 9:00 AM RESULT: ACCEPTED BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Financial Reports Council members received copies of the Projected Financial Report through August 2013. Month to month revenues are fairly consistent. Expenses shifted a bit from last month to this month due to payroll accruals. Overall the operating margin is in a positive 4.08%. 2. Nutrition Program Managers Eight of the nine Nutrition Program Managers informed Council members of variety of activities, trips and celebrations that have taken place at their respective Senior Centers. Many voiced their concerns on the upcoming budget and explained they hoped no cuts would come to the Nutrition program. 3. Health & Human Services Building Facility Planning The Council was informed that the preliminary design has been reviewed by the HHS Departments. The architect will be back on October 30th to meet with smaller groups to discuss needs and space. A copy of the design will hopefully be presented to the Council at the November meeting. 4. Partnership opportunity with Polk County Interfaith Volunteer Program Council members were informed the Interfaith Volunteer Program Coordinator and ADRC Administrator met with the Polk County Interfaith Volunteer Program regarding a collaborative effort and possible merger of services. Information was provided to Council regarding the Polk County program. The talks are in the infancy stages at this moment and additional information will be shared with the Council as talks progress. 5. Information & Assistance Update Sheet Council members received a handout with the most recent numbers. There have been no disenrollments from ContinuUs; seven enrollments into ContinuUs; two IRIS enrollments; zero IRIS disenrollments. ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Council members were given copies of the Monster Mash Bash flyer and the most recent IRIS map; Beckman informed the Council of the United Way campaign kick-off for St. Croix County employees will take place on October 23rd.
