BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Financial Reports
Council members received copies of the Projected Financial Report through September
2013. The revenue is slightly higher than budgeted and the expenses are being closely
monitored. A letter was submitted to the State requesting usage of any carry over dollars
associated with the ADRC to be utilized for the upcoming move in 2014.
2. Trust Account information - 3rd quarter 2013
Council members were provided with a copy of the 3rd quarter Trust information. The
Nutrition Trust monies have been utilized in 2013 to purchase the additional equipment
needed for Woodville when they took over cooking for Glenwood City. The 85.21 Grant
has been used to pay for higher repairs costs on the vehicles above and beyond the
budgeted repair and maintenance amount.
3. Health & Human Services Building Facility Planning Report and Design Review
The Council received a copy of the building layout/design. It was explained that
consumers would be greeted in a central reception area with a designated waiting area for
the consumers of the ADRC. There are three designated offices for the ADRC staff to
utilize as well as interview rooms located near the ADRC waiting room. The ADRC will
have 7 flex stations for staff to utilize when they are in the building. The plans for the
building should be finalized by December; bids will go out early December with the
move planned for June.
4. Transportation Requests (Out of County/Weekend)
There were no out of county requests for November.
5. St. Croix County Locally Developed Transportation Coordination Plan
Council members were provided with information regarding a five year plan pertaining to
transportation. The handout provided included goals for the transportation program in St.
Croix County. A motion to approve the plan was presented by Council member Pelnar
and seconded by Council member Ostness; motion carried.

6. Nutrition Statistics - 3rd quarter
Council members received a handout with the third quarter nutritional stats. The congregate
meals decreased slightly and home-delivered meals increased, which is the state trend. The
Nutrition Program Managers and Randi Hanson continue to market the Senior Nutrition Sites
and the programming.
7. Monster Mash Bash - update
The Monster Mash Bash took place on Friday, October 18 at the Roberts Senior Center.
Folks dressed in costumes and enjoyed listening and dancing to Roger Huetmaker and the
Hunyucks. The chili was prepared by the Roberts Café along with apple crisp.
8. Temporary Closure of Hammond Nutrition Site
Council members were informed that the Hammond Senior Center will be temporarily closed
effective December 2, 2013. The closure is due to low attendance and will be reviewed in six
months. The Hammond Senior Center Board has offered to cover the cost of meals for a
month for participants who would like to dine at the Baldwin Senior Center.
9. United Way campaign
The United Way Campaign for St. Croix County employees just ended. There were a variety
of ways employees could donate to the United Way and through those donations the goal of
raising $7,000 was exceeded. Those monies, along with other monies raised during the annual
campaign, will be utilized by a variety of agencies/organizations in St. Croix County. The
Interfaith Volunteer Program, DayAway, Senior Center Board Coalition, and Aging &
Handicapped, Inc. Are the programs associated with the ADRC that receive funding through
United Way.
10. Information & Assistance Update Sheet
Council members received a handout with the most recent numbers. There have been three
disenrollments from ContinuUs; twelve enrollments into ContinuUs; six IRIS enrollments;
one IRIS disenrollment.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The new Adult Protective Services employee, Bonnie Edlund, introduced herself to the Council
members. Bonnie began her new position on November 4 after years of working at St. Croix
Industries.
Beckman read two letters regarding outstanding employees within the ADRC.
