BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Recognition of Ann Stuntz
Beckman presented Ann Stuntz with a Certificate of Appreciation for her 15 years of
commitment to the Senior Nutrition Program. Ann started as the Nutrition Program Cook
at the Deer Park Senior Center in 1999 and then became the Nutrition Program Cook
Aide. She will remain active at the Deer Park Senior Center.

2. Financial Reports
Council members reviewed the August report for ADRC and Aging. The ADRC
expenses are over due to the state payment made earlier in the year.
Council members received additional information regarding how the 2015 budget would
breakdown according to revenue and expense. Council also reviewed Congregate and
Home-delivered meal programs 'dashboard'. There was discussion on the graphs
presented. It was discussed to present the information on a quarterly basis.

3. Division of Long Term Care Program Enrollment Screenings
Cia Westphal, Information and Assistance Specialist, discussed the power point that was
included in the Council packets regarding Division of Long Term Care Program
Enrollment Streamlining. Effective December 20, the Information & Assistance
Specialists will be done some of the data entry into Forward Health database regarding
enrollments and disenrollments. The Council asked for an update in June as to how the
process is working.

4. Information & Assistance Update Sheet
Council members received a handout with the numbers for September 2014. In
September, there were no disenrollment from ContinuUs; four enrollments into
ContinuUs; two IRIS enrollments; and no disenrollments.

5. Curb Cut Discussion
Beckman spoke with Tom Zeuli, City of Hudson, regarding the pedestrian ramps in
Hudson. One of the areas of concern has been fixed. Other areas of concern are either
private property or county responsibilities. Information was received from the Center of
Independent Living and shared with the City of Hudson. The County Highway
department will be working with the cities and discuss the needs in the area.
When the issue was presented to the Council, it was proposed to create a resolution. A
question was raised as to whether the resolution should be pursued or not. The Council
decided to not pursue the resolution and present the information to the each city and
village boards regarding the new rules and regulations regarding pedestrian ramps.
Information will also be included in the December issue of the ADRC News and an
update will be given at the December Council meeting.

6. 3rd quarter Nutrition Statistics
Council members received the 3rd quarter numbers pertaining to the

7. Free Clinic Pierce/St. Croix County Fundraiser
The Council was informed of the upcoming fundraiser for the Free Clinic Pierce & St.
Croix Counties. Monies raised will go towards the operations of the clinic.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Council members received a flyer for the upcoming Senior Monster Mash Bash to be held on
Friday, October 31 at the Roberts Senior Center. The event will be held from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
with live music, costume contest and chili.
Information was shared regarding the County employee United Way kick off and the ways the
St. Croix County employees are raising money for United Way.
