Hi Todd,
Based on the plans Eric Peters faxed to me, the garage reconstruction will be within the existing footprint and
can be exempt from a land use permit for a structure within 300' of the lake OHWM. There is no expansion
proposed and up to 1000 sq. ft. of land disturbance would be exempt from a permit anyway. I included a map
of survey and the current sanitary data we have on file in case you needed any property history (The owner had
received zoning approval for a lift on this lot back 2001). Thanks for letting us know about this project and FYI
the new Shoreland ordinance went into effect April 1 st, so there will be more land use permits associated with
projects, but way fewer special exceptions:-)
