RESULT: DISCUSSED ELECTION OF OFFICERS 1. Election of Chairperson Supr Berning nominated Supr. Long as Chair. Second by Supr. Leaf. There were no other nominations. Supr. Long made a brief statement. Motion by Supr. Hansen, 2nd by Supr. Berning to cast a unanimous ballot for Supr. Long as County Board Chair. Berning to approve the appointments to the Health and Human Services Board. Motion to amend by Supr. Berning, 2nd by Carlson to remove Dr. McGinnis as the citizen appointment. Passed: Yes - 13; No 6 (Nays: Leaf, Koch, Ostness, Counter, Hansen, Tellijohn). Motion by Supr. Ostness, 2nd by Supr. Berning to approve the four supervisor appointments to the Health and Human Services Board. Passed unanimously. Motion by Supr. Hansen, 2nd by Supr. Leaf to approve the appointment of Dr. McGinnis. Administration Committee description presented by Treasurer Denise Anderson and Finance Director Leah Simington. Transportation Committee description presented by Highway Commissioner Rob Krejci. Health and Human services Committee description presented by Heath and Human Services Director Bob Rohret and Veterans Service Officer Phil Landgraf. Community Development Committee description presented by Community Development Director Ellen Denzer and Register of Deeds Beth Pabst. Patty Schachtner medical examiner presented further description of Public Protection and Judiciary Committee. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Review of Technical Documents by IT, HR and County Clerk Information Technology Director John Allegro distributed tablets and login and usage instructions. County Supervisors meet with Human Resources staff individually in room 1281. County Clerk Cindy Campbell reviewed meeting portal, per diem and mail information. Supervisor Ottino on behalf of the Board of Supervisors acknowledged County Clerk Cindy Campbell for her years of service. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Presentation on Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Mandated Service, Projects - County Administrator Administrator Witt presented strategic planning, budgeting, and mandated services. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. Presentation on Open Meeting Laws and Best Practices - Corporation Counsel Corporation Counsel Heather Amos presented Open Meeting Laws and Best Practices as well as overview of public record requests. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS No requests made for future agenda items COUNTY CLERK'S REPORT OF CORRESPONDENCE AND REZONING REQUESTS None ANNOUNCEMENTS Chair Long reminded board members County Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. in winter months.
