Recognition of Departing County Supervisors Presentation by County Administrator Patrick Thompson recognizing departing County Supervisors Howard Novotny and Travis Schachtner. Chris Kilber and Carah Koch were not present. RESULT: NO ACTION 2. National Telecommunicator Recognition Week Emergency Support Services Interim Director Steve T'Kach and Terry Anderson were present to recognize National Telecommunicator Recognition Week. A video of an actual 911 service call was viewed. RESULT: NO ACTION ELECTION OF OFFICERS 1. Election of Officers - Chair and Vice Chair Chair Larson requested Corporation Counsel Scott Cox conduct the election of County Board Chair. Supr. Kiesler nominated Roger Larson. Cox called for nominations three times. Motion by Supr. Nelson, 2nd by Supr. Hansen to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Roger Larson as County Board Chair. Chair Larson called for nominations for vice-chair. Supr. Kiesler nominated Dave Ostness. Supr. Hansen nominated Agnes Ring. Secret ballots were cast. Cox announced votes results: Ostness - 11; Ring 8. Ostness was re-elected as vice-chair. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Scott Nelson, Supervisor SECONDER: Daniel Hansen, Supervisor AYES: Ryan S. County Administrator Appointments of County Board Members and Citizen Member to Health and Human Services Board followed by County Board Confirmation Thompson recommended appointments to the Health and Human Services Board which consists of six County Board Supervisors and three citizen members. Members serve 3-year terms and the terms are staggered. Three County Board Supervisors will continue to serve: Supr. Anderson and Supr. Babbitt terms expire in 2017 and Supr. Leibfried term expires in 2018. Thompson recommended the appointment of Supr. Kiesler and Supr. Coulter for a 3- year term and Supr. Long to a 2-year term to fulfill Howard Novotny's term. Thompson recommended the re-appointment of Lisa Ramsey as the citizen member to the Health and Human Service Board for a 3-year term. Motion by Supr. Kiesler, 2nd by Supr. Brinkman to approve. County Administrator Appointments to Council on Aging and Disabilities Thompson recommended the re-appointment of Suprs. Kiesler, Ostness and Anderson to the Council on Aging and Disabilities for a 2-year term; and recommended the citizen member appointment of Laurie Pelnar for a 3-year term. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: David Peterson, Supervisor SECONDER: Tom Coulter, Supervisor AYES: Ryan S. Election of Standing Committees Committee election procedure explained by Corporation Counsel Scott Cox. Nominations taken for Administration Committee. Elected to the Administration Committee: Peterson, Ring, Berke, Sjoberg, Bergren Nominations taken for Community Development Committee Elected to Community Development Committee: Berke, Ring, Hansen, Coulter, Achterhof. Achterhof declined. A second vote took place for one candidate of the remaining nominated (Leibfried, Bergren, Sjoberg). No candidate received a majority vote. Sjoberg withdrew. A third vote took place and Bergren received a majority vote. Nominations taken for the Public Protection and Judiciary Committee. Elected to Public Protection and Judiciary: Babbitt, Nelson, Achterhof, Larson, Brinkman Transportation Committee. Sups Peavey, Ostness and Sicard were automatically placed on the Transportation Committee because they were not elected on any other standing committee or HHS Board. Elected to Transportation Committee: Nelson, Peterson Chair Larson requested each standing committee and HHS Board meeting before the May 3rd County Board meeting to organize and set a meeting schedule. Chair Larson assigned the following as conveners. Administration - Sjoberg Community Develop Committee - Berke Public Protection and Judiciary - Babbitt Transportation Committee - Nelson Health and Human Services Board - Anderson RESULT: DISCUSSED BUSINESS None. REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS None. COUNTY CLERK'S REPORT OF CORRESPONDENCE AND REZONING REQUESTS ANNOUNCEMENTS Announcement of upcoming Wisconsin Counties Association meeting including April 28 WCA District meeting in Eau Claire and May 19 County Official Workshop also in Eau Claire. Supervisors were asked to contact Campbell if interested in attending. Supr. Berke reminded county board members of the annual May 7th May Fair event and sale at the St. Croix County Fairgrounds which is a fund raiser for the horse board #1. ADJOURNMENT
