Recognition of Health and Human Services Director Fred Johnson County Administrator Patrick Thompson announced the upcoming retirement of Health and Human Services Director Fred Johnson and recognized him for his 28 years of service at St. Croix County. Johnson expressed his appreciation. Applause. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Recognition of Departing County Supervisors Thompson along with Chair Larson presented certificates to County Board members not seeking re-election. Annual Department Report - Human Resources Tarra Davies-Fox Human Resources Department report by Human Resources Director Tarra Davis-Fox. RESULT: DISCUSSED COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT 1. Financial Report - January 2020 Brief review of financial reports by County Administrator Thompson. Thompson recognized Gary Zappa who presented a check to St. Croix County in the amount of $339,500 based on an agreement when the County purchased land along the St. Croix River. Thompson reported the former Highway building in Hammond closed at the end of February. Proceeds from the sale are applied to the Capital Improvement Project fund. RESULT: DISCUSSED BUSINESS 1. Resolution of Commitment and Support for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) 2020-2024 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Application to Construct the Highway #35 Off-road Trail Supr. Hansen reported on the Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) which funds bicycle and pedestrian projects at an 80% grant and 20% match by the county. The grant would help fund the proposed Highway 35 trail of 1.1 miles to allow safer access to community facilities.
