Resolution Amending 2021 Budget (4) for CT Scanner CIP Project Medical Examiner Patty Schachtner explained this is a request to change the project for the approved Lodox machine to a reconditioned CT scanner. The CT scanner will have similar benefits at slightly higher costs, but without the need for grant funding. Chair Peterson stated this requires 13 votes to be approved. Resolution Approving 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Providing for 2022 CIP Funding Motion to approve by Supr. Ard, 2nd by Supr. Ostness. Motion by Supr. Long, 2nd by Supr. Berning to amend the CIP to change project # 10074 New Glen Hills Group Camping area with Support Facilities from 2022 to 2023. Discussion regarding timing of grant confirmation. Community Development Director Ellen Denzer explained the grant was confirmed in 2020 and ends June 30, 2023. If delayed a request to extend may be necessary. Amendment failed: Yes - 6; No - 11 (Ayes: S. Anderson, Long, Berning, Ottino, Feidler, Peavey) Motion by Supr. Hansen, 2nd by Supr. Achterhof to amend the CIP by removing project # 10105 in the amount of $87,000,000 for Government Center Expansions. Discussion regarding impact on the budget. County Administrator Witt explained the 2022 projects are part of the 2022 budget and staff will spend time planning and working on future year projects. Resolution Updating St. Croix County Wage Grid Witt explained adjusting the wage grid makes it market competitive. This proposal is to remove the bottom step and add step at end and moving market step from 6 to 8 which is appropriate per comparables. Witt explained departments have a difficult time hiring seasonal help when it falls under $15 per hour and by increasing the top bar for seasonal starting wage rate make it more competitive in the market.
