BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Discussion of Building Needs County Wide
Discussed other facilities. No other immediate needs that have not been identified in
current space needs analysis. County census and growth rates were discussed. St. Croix
County is expected to continue to be one of the fastest growing counties in the State of
Wisconsin.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Consideration of Funding Ideas Related to a Government Center Expansion Project
Sale of part of the County property was discussed. The value in relation to scope of the
project and considering long term needs of the County, it was consensus to retain
current County property. Satellite office or court rooms in other areas of the County were
discussed as an option to an onsite expansion. Reviewed if adjusting our balance sheet
of properties would benefit the addition of this project. There was no particular assets
that made sense to remove that would offset this projects costs. The best funding option
identified as a traditional bond issue.

3. Consideration of Communications Plan
PIO Kastonek reviewed communication plan. One of the main additions was public open
houses added for communicating project to the public.
