HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES BOARD

CALL TO ORDER
This special meeting of the Health and Human Services Board was called to order by Health and
Human Board Chair Chris Babbitt at 8:00 AM on January 5, 2016.

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. 3689 : Resolution Accepting the Donation of $300,000 for the Therapy Pool and Increase
Health Center Project
Health and Human Services Director Fred Johnson gave some background information
and summarized the resolution. County Administrator Thompson added that the budget
increased $300,000 and the remaining $76,260 will come from the owner contingency.
The pool is ordered, and the infrastructure begun. Administrator Thompson, as well as
other board members, gave a big thanks to Suzanne Van Mele and the entire Health
Center Ad Hoc Committee for leading the efforts in acquiring this grant.
Supervisor Kiesler made a motion to approve and move to the full County Board the
Resolution Accepting the Donation of $300,000 for the Therapy Pool and Increase Health
Center Project. This was seconded by Supervisor Anderson. Vote was taken and
approved.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Supervisor Anderson asked where things are at regarding concerns with E- cigarettes. Health and
Human Services Board Chair Babbitt shared that this hasn't been forgotten and is being
considered as an agenda item in an upcoming regular meeting.
