Natasha Cardinal provided a brief overview of the business items on September 8, 2022: Membership review, FFY20 Hazmat Operations and Awareness Training review, St. Croix County Spill History for 2021, presentation from WI DNR on processes involved in hazmat spills, County-Wide Strategic Hazmat Plan Update, Review By-Laws of the LEPC, and approval of Off-Site Facility Plans. Anderson motioned, Long second to approve the meeting minutes Natasha Cardinal read from previous meeting. Motion carried 9-0. PUBLIC COMMENT BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Membership review Representation needed from Fire and EMS. A request was made to serve on the committee, and proposed new members include Jon Muller, the Director with Lakeview EMS, Fire Chief, Drew Spielman with Hudson Fire, and Megan Navarre, the EHS Manager at Refrigerated Solutions Group (RSG)-Norlake in Hudson, which is a designer and manufacturer of refrigeration products. Megan served on the committee before working at Phillips-Medisize in New Richmond. Bol motioned, Anderson second the new memberships to LEPC. Motioned carried 9-0. FFY22 Hazmat Operations and Awareness Training Summary Emergency Manager Cardinal reviewed the hazmat training summary. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. All-Hazard Mitigation Plan update – presentation from Chris Straight, Senior Planner, with the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (WCWRPC) All-Hazard Mitigation Plan update presentation from Chris Straight, Senior Planner, with West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (WCWRPC). Senior Planner Chris Straight with WCWRPC shared his role in coordination and support of this project and how the LEPC will serve as the steering committee and oversee plan development. He provided a PowerPoint presentation on Hazard Mitigation Plan update. Also, a Risk Assessment Survey review rating of natural hazards in St. Croix County on probability (frequency) and vulnerability (impact). He provided the St. Croix County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Project Timeline to the committee. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN Meeting adjourned at 2:23 pm. DATE OF NEXT MEETING Next meeting is August 3 at 1 pm.
