BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Review of 2022 Department Budget Request
Administrator Ken Witt reviewed the 2022 Public Protection department's budget
requests.
$1.8 million needs to be cut out of the 2022 budget requests. Attached to this
agenda item are the details of the positions requested and what the administrator
would recommend. Discussion. Motion by Feidler, seconded by Leaf to
recommending incorporating the 12 hour shifts for patrol/jail and union contract
compensation into Sheriff's Office budget, eliminate the Justice Services - Pretrial
Case Worker position and use $375,000 ARPA funding in the 2023 budget.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Chair Feidler spoke on possible future agenda item and/or workgroups with HHS to highlight
the topic of drug addiction.

Sheriff Scott Knudson announced Tuesday the 14th @ 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM elder abuse
symposium at faith community church
