APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Public Protection & Judiciary Committee – Regular Meeting – March 3, 2022 8:00 AM RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT No public comment. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Election of Committee Chair Nominations for Chair were opened by Convener Bob Feidler. Supervisor Cathy Leaf nominated Bob Feidler, second by Supervisor Tim Ramberg. Motion by Leaf to approve with unanimous consent vote. Carried RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Cathy Leaf, Supervisor SECONDER: Tim Ramberg, Supervisor AYES: Cathy Leaf, Paul Adams, Bob Feidler, Mark Carlson, Tim Ramberg 2. Election of Committee Vice Chair Nominations for Vice Chair were opened by Chair Feidler. Supervisor Paul Adams nominated Cathy leaf, seconded by Supervisor Tim Ramberg. Call for unanimous consent vote. Carried. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Paul Adams, Supervisor SECONDER: Tim Ramberg, Supervisor AYES: Cathy Leaf, Paul Adams, Bob Feidler, Mark Carlson, Tim Ramberg 3. Establish Regular Meeting Schedule The first Thursday of the month at 8:00 AM will be the standing schedule for the Public Protection & Judiciary committee meetings. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Bob Feidler, Convener SECONDER: Paul Adams, Supervisor AYES: Cathy Leaf, Paul Adams, Bob Feidler, Mark Carlson, Tim Ramberg 4. Introduction and Orientation to Departments Reporting to this committee Reporting departments appeared before the committee to inform the members of the purpose and work of each department. Child Support Administrator Lisa Plunkett, Clerk of Court Kristi Severson, Judge Needham and Judge Waterman, District Attorney Karl Anderson, Medical Examiner Patty Schachtner, Chief Deputy Cathy Borgschatz all presented information to the committee. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS None. ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE Chair Feidler recognized Chief Deputy Borgschatz will be retiring on June 1, 2022. Chair Feidler thanked Cathy for her service to St. Croix County. Chair Feidler also recognized the work County Clerk Cindy Campbell has done for the board and her last day is today.
