PUBLIC COMMENT
Five members of the public spoke on the agenda item , Resolution to Support the U.S.
Constitution and Wisconsin Constitution.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Resolution to Support the U.S. Constitution and Wisconsin Constitution and Rights
Explicitly Provided Therein
Supervisor Mark Carlson moves to bring the resolution to the floor for discussion. No
second, motion fails. Chair Feidler spoke on the topic of the right to keep and bear
arms. Supervisor Carlson spoke on the emails and letters received from citizens.
RESULT: NO ACTION
2. Financial Review for November 2022
Administrator Ken Witt reported on the November 30, 2022 financial reports included in
the agenda packet.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Circuit Court Update
Judge Nordstrand reported on the current status of the Treatment Court program.
Judge Nordstrand invited committee members to attend Treatment Court,
Wednesday's at 8:30 AM
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Review of Mandated Services - Medical Examiner's Office
Medical Examiner Patty Schachtner reviewed the mandated services report included in
the agenda packet.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Medical Examiner's Office Update
Medical Examiner Patty Schachtner reported on current projects the department is
working on. She reviewed the Death Investigation report attached to the agenda.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Justice Support Services - Discussion of Overdose Death Review Team
Justice Support Services Director Phil Galli reported on the departments overdose death
review team.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. Sheriff's Office - Emergency Management Presentation
Emergency Management Manager Natasha Cardinal presented to the committee on
report on St. Croix County Emergency Management. The presentation is in this
agenda packet.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Supervisor Ramberg requests state funding for defense attorney's. Resolution contact with
WCA? Chair Feidler will be meeting with State Representative later in January. Update in March
or April for this topic?
