BUSINESS ITEMS
1. State Patrol Crash & Traffic Report
The State Patrol reviewed a vehicle incident involving a fatality and discussed the
increased traffic on roads compared to previous years.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. State Patrol Review of Fatal Crash May 2021
The Commission reviewed factors surrounding a May 2021 fatal incident.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. St. Croix County Crash Report
The Sheriff's Department reviewed the numerous road incidents on County Road A and
on State Highway 12. Enforcement has increased in the Star Prairie and New Richmond
areas.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Engineer Report
Dan Bieberitz reviewed the ongoing WisDOT projects in St. Croix County. The
intersection at STH 128 and Kwik Trip at Exit 28 on I-94 has been selected for a safety
enhancement project. The project is scheduled for 2024 and will include modifications to
existing driveways.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau Safety Report
Dan Kontos reviewed the quarterly crash statistics and other relevant information for St.
Croix County.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. St. Croix County Highway Department Construction Update
Rob Krejci reviewed on-going County projects including future scheduled projects.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
