1. Traffic Safety – Regular Meeting – July 21, 2021 10:00 AM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. State Patrol Crash & Traffic Report
The State Patrol reviewed incidents, traffic detours, and oversize/overweight
inspections throughout the County. The Commission also discussed Implements of
Husbandry.

2. St. Croix County Crash Report
The State of Wisconsin Safety Department and the St. Croix County Sheriff
Department reviewed incidents and accidents.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Engineer Report
Dan Bieberitz reviewed the road construction projects in the County. Numerous
projects in the area are scheduled to be completed by the end of November.
Interstate 94 bridge projects will continue through 2022.

4. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau Safety Report
Dan Kontos reviewed the quarterly crash reports and statistics for St. Croix County.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. St. Croix County Highway Department Construction Update
Greg Haig updated the Commission on various County Road projects for 2021-2023.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Driver Education Outreach Program Update
Greg Haig reviewed the Driver Education Outreach Program created by staff at the
Highway Department. Staff presents information to various school district driver
education classes regarding winter road conditions and navigating a vehicle during
winter months.
