1. Traffic Safety – Regular Meeting – October 20, 2021 10:00 AM

1. State Patrol Crash & Traffic Report
The State Patrol reviewed incidents, detours and oversize/overweight inspections.
2. St. Croix County Crash Report
The State of Wisconsin Safety Department and the St. Croix County Sheriff Department
reviewed incidents and accidents
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Engineer Report
Dan Bieberitz reviewed the Wisconsin Department of Transportation construction
projects in the County. Further discussion on the Minnesota Department of
Transportation I-94 project that is anticipated to affect traffic on I-94 in Wisconsin.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation Safety Report
Dan Kontos reviewed the St. Croix County transportation safety report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. County Trunk Highway A & McCutcheon Road Update
Rob Krejci reviewed the planned CTH A/McCutcheon Road Highway Safety Improvement
project scheduled for 2024.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. Review Wisconsin Department of Transportation Deer Removal Policy
The Traffic Safety Committee discussed the deer removal process for the Wisconsin
Department of Transportation and St. Croix County.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. Review County Trunk Highway A-New Richmond Way to State Highway 64 Corridor
Safety Analysis
Robbie Krejci discussed that St. Croix County was contracting with a local engineering
firm to complete a corridor safety analysis on County Trunk Highway A from New
Richmond Way to State Highway 64. The County is soliciting input on this analysis and
will be conducting future public meetings to discuss the analysis.

8. Review Safe Roads for All Grant Opportunities
Rob Krejci discussed the Safe Roads and Highways for All grant opportunities. St. Croix
County is partnering with Dunn and Eau Claire County for a grant application that would
review all the County highways within the three Counties. Motion/Second to
recommend that the Transportation Committee Chair to draft a letter of support for the
Safe Roads and Highways Grant. All voting aye, motion carried.
