1. Traffic Safety – Regular Meeting – July 20, 2022 10:00 AM

BUSINESS ITEMS
1. State Patrol Crash & Traffic Report
Wisconsin State Patrol reviewed incidents, accidents, and provided a construction update
on the I-94 Weigh Station under construction.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. St. Croix County Crash Report
The State of Wisconsin and the St. Croix County Sheriff Department reviewed incidents
and accidents.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Engineer Report
Chad Hines reviewed upcoming road construction projects in the County, and reviewed
discussions with Kwik Trip at State Highway 128. The Committee expressed safety
concerns with Kwik Trip access on State Highway 128 and the illegal turns that continue
to happen.

4. Wisconsin Department of Transportation Safety Report
Dan Kontos reviewed the safety report for St. Croix County.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. County Road A New Richmond Way to State Highway 64 Corridor Safety Analysis
Update
Greg Haig and Rob Krejci reviewed the corridor safety analysis being completed on
County Trunk Highway A from New Richmond Way to State Highway 64. St. Croix
County will be evaluating safety enhancements along this corridor.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. County Trunk Highway U/County Trunk Highway N Intersection Control Evaluation
Rob Krejci reviewed the area and the projected traffic volume for this intersection.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
7. County Trunk Highway I High Risk Rural Roads Project Update
Staff continues to evaluate and implement safety enhancements to this area.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
8. Safe Roads and Highways for All Grant Application Update
Staff provided an update on the grant application and that final awards should be
announced soon.
RESULT: DISCUSSED

Review and discuss snow plow incidents.
Work Zone Safety
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Safety enhancements have been installed at the County Road T and County Road G intersection
St. Croix County staff will be presenting at the State Association of Educators for Driver
Education.
Rob Krejci reviewed the Green Light initiative on County snow plow trucks.
