1. Monthly Financial Report
Kathy Rineck reviewed the monthly financial report.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. Highway Department Monthly Report
Western Wisconsin Municipal Rail Coalition Update - The coalition is preparing a
long term rider survey and evaluating options if the proposed Eau Claire to Minneapolis
line
is constructed.
Badlands Road/80th Avenue - Towns of Hudson/Warren update - A discretionary
grant application was submitted with support and assistance from Senator Tammy
Baldwin
2023 Highway Construction Materials bid updates - Hotmix price increased 5%,
all materials have increased in price. The trends of material inflation have continued into
2023.
Staffing Update - The Highway Department currently has four open Operator
positions.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Consider Dates and Time for Regularly Scheduled Transportation Committee
Meetings
Motion made by Bob Swanepoel/Mike Barcalow to hold the Transportation Committee
meetings on the Tuesday following the Monday holiday (if applicable). Motion carried.

4. Review the Highway Department Updated Five Year Plan
Rob Krejci reviewed the revised five-year Highway Department Plan. The plan has been
updated and County Trunk Highway V was postponed due to material price increases
and the County Trunk Highway Bridge Improvement project bids came in approximately
$400,000 over the anticipated budget.

5. Review Six Year State Highway Improvement Plan
Rob Krejci reviewed the State of Wisconsin six-year improvement plan.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. The Committee may convene into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats § 19.85(1)(e)
for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the purchase of real estate for St. Croix
County Highway Department operation.
Motion made by Paul Adams/Jerry VanSomeren to move into closed session. Motion
Carried
