1. Monthly Finance Report
Kathy Rineck reviewed the monthly financial report.

2. Highway Department Budget Update
Rob Krejci presented an updated budget report to the Committee.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Highway Department Monthly Report
Safe Street and Highway For all Grant Update - Staff is gathering data for the Federal
Grant involving St. Croix, Dunn and Eau Claire Counties
County Trunk Highway A - State Highway 64 - New Richmond Way Corridor Safety
Study Update-Staff met with the New Richmond City Council to review funding.
Staffing Update - Retirements: Joe Murtha, 35 years of service; Mark Benoy, 23 years
of service. The Committee thanked these employees for their years of service.
SB591 Work Zone - Drivers Education Requirement - Rob Krejci appeared at the
public hearing and testified in favor of adding 30 minutes of work zone and winter
driving education for students in the Drivers Education programs.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. St. Croix County Vehicle Registration Fee Process Update
The updated ordinance has been sent to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
with an effective date of March 1, 2024. The Registration Fee is retroactive to January 1,
2024.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
5. County Road F - Pierce County Line - City of Hudson Bid Results
Greg Haig presented the County Road F bid results.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
6. County Road A & McCutcheon Road Intersection Bid Results
Greg Haig presented the County Road A and McCutcheon Road bid results.
RESULT: DISCUSSED

Review guidelines of mowing on Local and State Roads
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
The Transportation congratulated and extended best wishes to Mark Benoy and Joe Murtha
Rob Krejci noted staff is in discussion regarding the future of Badlands Road.
Staff will review and address citizen concerns for the next Transportation Committee
meeting
Wisconsin County Highway Association Conference is January 22-24, 2024
