1. August 31, 2014 Financial Report
Bond and Ramberg reviewed the financial report through August 31, 2014.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
2. 2015 Budget Review
Ramberg and Bond reviewed the budget relating to the Highway Department. The
appropriate level of the County Vehicle Registration Fee in the 2015 budget was
reviewed and set at $750,000 (remaining at $10/vehicle). The registration fee continues
to move the Highway Department toward their long range goals as designed.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Status of possible Cell Tower at Deer Park Highway Shop
Swetlik and Krizan discussed the plan to increase the emergency communication system
in St. Croix County. The Highway shop in Deer Park appears to be the best location for a
tower to meet the County needs.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
4. Ordinance Creating Chapter 78 – Implements of Husbandry (IoH) – Permit to Exceed
Weight and Length Limits St. Croix County Code of Ordinances
Motion by Dave Ostness, second by Dave Peterson to approve the ordinance as written.
This ordinance will be sent to County Board for the November 6, 2014 meeting. Motion
carried.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
West Central Fall District Commissioner and Committee Member meeting October 16, 2014, in
Durand, WI.
Constitutional Amendment November 4, 2014, regarding exclusive use of Wisconsin’s
Transportation Fund for Transportation purposes.
Peavey and Ostness attended the State bridge construction public information meeting on
October 8, 2014, held at the Eau Galle Town Hall.
Ramberg reviewed the Village of Somerset land exchange resolution for the November 10, 2014
meeting.
Ramberg and Rehnelt updated the Committee on 2014 projects to complete and also gave a 2015
machinery management update.
