Monthly Financial Report Ramberg reviewed the Highway Department financial report. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. 2016 Budget Review Budget passed at County Board with no changes to the Highway Department budget. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Transit Planning Sub Committee Update Ostness gave an up-to-date overview of the Sub Committee. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Consider Feasibiltiy Study for Transit Planning Sub Committee Ostness shared information about the feasibility study that would be conducted by West Central Regional Planning Commission (WCRPC). Motion made by Ostness/Hanson, approving the Transit Planning Sub Committee to apply for funding of a feasibility study conducted by WCRPC, after a review of the scope of work is completed by Corporation Counsel. Consider County Trunk Highway 'C' No Parking Signs Request The Committee discussed a request made the Town of Star Prairie to install No Parking signs on County Road ‘C’. Motion made by Peterson/Nelson to postpone the motion until January and delegated Jeff Durkee to obtain more information from the Town. Motion carried. Consider Land Purchase Request Brian Halling presented information regarding a request to purchase a strip of the Stanton Pit land, located in the Town of Stanton, to the adjacent land owner. Motion made by Hanson/Peterson to approve a resolution to the County Board, after a review of the background by Corporation Counsel. Motion carried. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Daniel Hansen, Supervisor SECONDER: David Peterson, Supervisor AYES: Scott Nelson, Dave Ostness, Daniel Hansen, David Peterson, William Peavey REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE WCHA Road School will be January 18-20, 2016 in Wisconsin Dells. Dave Ostness relayed a thank you from our area State Representatives including House Speaker Vos for the outstanding highway maintenance operations in St. Croix County. 1. Hammond Facility Update COMMENTS - Current Meeting: Staff should be receiving a draft of the Hammond Facility this week. 2. Project Updates COMMENTS - Current Meeting: Project update by Jim Krizan on Radio Road construction and Town work needing to be completed before winter. 3. Rustic Road Award & Addition COMMENTS - Current Meeting: St. Croix County received two awards from WisDOT Rustic Roads Program for photographs taken along Rustic Road #4. ADJOURN DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next Transportation Committee meeting is scheduled for December 14, 2015 8:30 am, at the Highway Department office.
