APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1.Executive Committee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council Regular Meeting December 14, 202112:00 PM RESULT:ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT None BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Introduction of New Treatment Court Coordinator and Treatment Court Worker Susan introduced Kait Breuer, new Treatment Court Coordinator and Ashley Barthol, new COMPAS Assessment/Treatment Court Worker, to the Executive members. Ashley comes to us from St. Croix County Behavioral Health and has been training as an SACIT in that role. Ashley's skills gained in Behavioral Health will be an asset to the Treatment Court program for case management support. Kait comes to St. Croix County from Goodhue County, MN where she has been their Treatment Court Coordinator for several years. She also has a background in Court Administration. All welcomed our new Treatment Court team. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Discussion on Representative to CJCC from the Medical Community Discussion on potential candidates for the open position on the CJCC of Medical Community Representative. Vice Chair Kate Avoles and Susan both have candidates that are potentially interested in the position. These names will be presented to Judge Needham, CJCC Chair. Discussion. Item will be tabled to next month for further discussion when Judge Needham is in attendance. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Discussion, Juvenile and Child Justice Issues Tabled for discussion at the next Executive meeting with Judge Needham in attendance. RESULT: NO ACTION Next: 2/24/2022 12:00 PM 4. Pretrial Services Program Updates and Next Steps Susan provided an update on staffing and case management in the Pretrial Services Program. Discussion was held. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. Review and Approve Agenda Items for the March CJCC Meeting Discussion held on possible topics for the next full CJCC meeting to be held March 10th. As Judge Needham was not able to be present today, further Agenda items will be discussed at the February 24th Executive Meeting. RESULT: DISCUSSED REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Presentation from Professor Galli, Outcomes Evaluation Treatment Court Introduction to CJCC new Treatment Court Coordinator Medical Community Representative Selection Additional Items from Judge Needham on Juvenile Justice Issues New Items ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE None ADJOURN Meeting was adjourned at 12:40PM by Vice Chair, Kate Avoles.
