APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Executive Committee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council Regular
Meeting June 23, 2022 12:00 PM
Minutes approved.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Yvonne Larsen (Community Member) indicated four new CASA representatives were recently
sworn in.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. TAD Grant Update.
Phil Galli from Justice Services updated that the TAD pre-application was submitted to
the Wisconsin Dept. of Justice on 8/19. The Treatment Court and Diversion programs will
be requesting additional resources to hire a part-time case worker in 2023. This position
would be split between the two programs. The TAD grant for 2023 will be available 9/23
and is due 11/1. Those dates are tentative.
2. Justice Support Services Budget Update.
Phil Galli from Justice Services indicated the 2023 budget will reflect changes to testing
and monitoring policies.
3. MRT Update
Phil Galli from Justice Services indicated the department now has two staff trained in
MRT and groups are set to begin the first week of October.
4. Justice Support Services Staff Update.
Justice Services has hired a new pretrial case manager who will begin work with the
county on 8/31.
5. Justice Support Services Trip to La Crosse Co.
Phil Galli from Justice Services discussed the pretrial team's observation trip to La Crosse
County regarding their operations.
6. CJCC & County Strategic Plan
Phil Galli from Justice Services discussed how the CJCC, and its subcommittees, might be
able to align with the county's strategic plan and specifically goal #1 of community well-
being.
REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
Lisa Multhauf stated the diversion team will be traveling to the NAPSA conference in Atlanta in
September.
