APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Domestic Violence & Family Issues Subcommittee of the Community Justice
Collaborating Council Regular Meeting February 16, 2022 11:30 AM
Minutes from 2/16/22 approved.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment.
BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Review returning/new members
All attendees introduced themselves.
2. Review Resource List (Bench Card).
Discussed adding Child Support and an animal shelter to resource list. Also add 911, 988,
211, ARC.
Discussed there will not be any printing costs.
3. Discussion of subcommittee working group.
Judge Vlack discussed looking at recidivism rates of those entered into the domestic
violence court.
Judge Vlack discussed different working groups.
Judge Vlack discussed the d/v subcommittee meeting quarterly and the working
groups meeting in between those times.
Group discussed mission of the subcommittee.
Members discussed grant opportunity for victims of domestic violence.
4. Future members/organizations.
Chief Richert (North Hudson P.D.) stated he will be meeting with Turning Point to discuss
training local law enforcement on LAP (lethality assessment).
Updates provided on ODARA assessments (Restorative Services).
Restorative Services also discussed how ODARA scores inform what level of
counseling a person should receive (low, medium, high-risk).
DOC discussed how they refer domestic violence cases.
