1. Financial Report for April 2024
Financial reports through April 2024.

2. Judicial Report
Judge Needham presented the committee with updates from the courts.
RESULT: DISCUSSED
3. Medical Examiner's Office Update
Medical Examiner Patty Schachtner reported the department has begun using the
new RANDOX system. Scanning and testing in may the department realized a
savings of $ 31,990.

4. CASA of St. Croix County program update
Executive Director Sean Kinsella of CASA presented the committee with information on
the program.

5. St. Croix County Crime Trends.
Justice Support Services Director Phil Galli reported on criminal statistics in St. Croix
County.

6. Consideration of Capital Improvement Projects
County Administrator Ken Witt walked the committee through the 2024 - 2029 Capital
Improvement projects.

7. Jail expansion/renovation CIP
Chief Deputy Brent Standaert reviewed the recommendations from the jail inmate study.
Included in this study is the expansion of the jail pod area, and receiving cells.

8. Sheriff's Office Report
Sheriff Scott Knudson reviewed monthly statistics of the Sheriff's office. Discussion.

REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE
A large contingency of Sheriff' staff Katie's family along with Take Action Honor Katie's group
attended the Police week in Washington D.C. Shop with a cop will be August 14. This Saturday
will be the dedication of the Deputy Katie Leising Memorial Highway at the Fairgrounds.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
Next scheduled meeting falls on July 4th. Current plan is to not have a July meeting. Next
scheduled meeting would be August 1st.
