Community Justice Collaborating Council - Regular Meeting - Dec 11, 2014 8:00 AM PUBLIC COMMENT* BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Financial Reports CJCC Coordinator Mike O'Keefe presented the Financial Reports for CJCC & Treatment Alternatives & Diversion (TAD) Department of Justice Grant through December 2014. RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. Juvenile Assessment & Interventions System (JAIS) Julie Krings and Michelle Leccia from the St. Croix County Department of Health & Human Services - Children Services, gave a Power Point presentation on JAIS ( Juvenile Assessment & Interventions System). RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Substance Abuse Treatment Services Presentation- Kristin DePrey, HHS Kristin DePrey from the St. Croix County Department of Health & Human Services (AODA), gave a Power Point presentation on Substance Abuse Treatment Services available in St. Croix County. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Hudson Ministerial Association Presentation - January 13, 2015 CJCC Coordinator Mike O'Keefe and Judge Vlack gave an update on their CJCC & Drug Court presentation to the Hudson Ministerial Association on January 13, 2015. RESULT: DISCUSSED 5. CJCC Council List & Workgroups CJCC Coordinator Mike O'Keefe gave a status report on CJCC Workgroups. RESULT: DISCUSSED 6. CJCC By-Laws Workgroup Update Kate Avoles representative from the By-Laws workgroup presented a draft version of the new proposed By-Laws. After discussion by the group a motion was made by Pat Thompson, 2nd by Roger Larson to amend language in the By-Laws to name Judge Vlack, (Drug Court Judge) as the standing chair of the Oversight Committee for Treatment Courts and to add that the Oversight Committee/CJCC does not have authority to direct day to day operations of Treatment Courts. Motion passed unanimously. RESULT: DISCUSSED 7. Resignation of CJCC Citizen Member - Steve T'Kach CJCC Citizen Member Steve T'Kach submitted his resignation effective immediately. Mr. T'Kach has accepted an employment contract position as the Director of Emergency Support Services for St. Croix County. The vacant position will be advertised on the County Website. RESULT: DISCUSSED 8. CJCC Meeting Space & Times Update CJCC Coordinator Mike O'Keefe reported that all meetings of the CJCC will remain in Room D203. He was trying to reserve the County Board Room due to space issues, but there were too many conflicts with schedules to accommodate this move. RESULT: DISCUSSED ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE The St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice Program is sponsoring an open house on February 13, 2015 at the St. Croix County Government Center, Room D203 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. The Treatment & Alternatives Summit put on by the WI Department of Justice is January 27th in Eau Claire, WI. Please see Lisa Multhauf in the Diversion Program if you wish to attend. ADJOURN DATE OF NEXT MEETING The date of the next CJCC Council Meeting is Thursday, February 26, 2015, 8:00 AM in Room D203. The date of the next CJCC Executive Council Meeting is Thursday, February 12, 2015, 12:00 PM in Room D203.
