Council Meeting Minutes
May 22, 2014

Members Present: Patrick Thompson, Fred Johnson, Joan Sprain, Mark Samelstad, Honorable Eric
Lundell, Lisa Multhauf, Pam Bellrichard, Kathleen Avoles, Honorable Edward Vlack, Liesl Nelson,
Honorable Scott Needham, John Shilts, Amber Perry, Lori Meyer, Mike O’Keefe
Absent: Roger Larson, Andy Brinkman, Eric G. Johnson, Scott Cox, Mark Lemke, Steve T’Kach,
Honorable Howard Cameron, Kris Miner
I. Meeting was called to order by The Honorable Eric Lundell at 3:30 PM.
II. Roll Call was taken.
III. (MSC) Pat Thompson, Judge Lundell to approve Council minutes from May 5, 2014.
IV. There was no public comment.
V. Business Items
1. The group reviewed the Team Building Workshop that was presented throughout the day. Pat
Thompson stated he was pleased that everyone went through this team building process and it gave
him some insight to others on the Council. Other members also expressed the value of the team
building exercise.
2. Mike O’Keefe reported that he attended a 2 day training on Compas and as soon as he is given an
access code he can complete assessments. Amber Perry and Lisa Multhauf reported on how the
Compas Assessment works with Drug Court and the Diversion Program respectively. Judge
Needham commented about the use of these assessments with low risk people. Sheriff Shilts
commented on the potential use of Compas Assessment in the County Jail.
3. Review of By-Laws – Pat Thompson stated that a sub-committee will meet and report to the full
council on a review of the current By-Laws. (MSC) Pat Thompson, Judge Lundell to hold a full
Council meeting on June 26, 2014.
