ST. CROI-X CQUNTY RESOLUTION AMENDING 2024 BUDGET CIP

WHEREAS, St. Croix County has amended the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget
on January 2, 2024 with Resolution 2 (2024) allocating an additional $335,877.40 to the
Highway 35 Loop Bike Trail due to cost overruns; and
WHEREAS, staff worked with State officials and were awarded additional TAP Grant
funding to cover the cost overruns; and
WHEREAS, the $335,877.40 was allocated out of the Government Center Project
contingency funding; and
WHEREAS, the Government Center Project contingency fund has a current balance of
$681,705.16; and
WHEREAS, the Government Center Project has a year of construction remaining with
the third phase, including construction of new court rooms; and
WHEREAS, any contingency fund amounts remaining at the conclusion of the project
will become part of the CIP fund balance and available for other future projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors does hereby amend the 2024 CIP budget to return the $335,877.40 to the
Government Center Project contingency fund.
