Treatment Courts Subcommittee of the Community Justice Collaborating Council Regular Meeting July 11, 2019 8:00 AM Minutes from July 11, 2019 Treatment Court accepted as presented. RESULT: ACCEPTED PUBLIC COMMENT Judge Cameron urged a study of outcome evaluations. Judge Waterman and Kim Kitzberger mentioned the possibility of an assistant professor from UW-River Falls conducting the outcome study and the potential hurdles of such a study. Bob Rohret, Director, Health & Human Services, introduced himself. Laurie Osberg, Reg BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Treatment Court Program Snapshot RESULT: DISCUSSED 2. St. Croix County 2020 Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) Grant Update The 2020 grant is approved for a half-time COMPAS Assessor and half-time Case Manager. This is the last year of the TAD grant before it opens up for competition again. Application needs to be made towards the second half of next year for 2022. RESULT: DISCUSSED 3. Review Current Treatment Court Referral Screening, Eligibility and Admission Procedures Discussion ensued on sources of referrals to Treatment Court, screening procedures used to determine eligibility based on need, source of decision on candidates accepted into program, veto power of candidates to program, and dual diagnosis candidates. RESULT: DISCUSSED 4. Review of 2019 Wisconsin Act 106 Tabled by Judge Waterman at 1:05 PM RESULT: NO ACTION 5. Review Current Treatment Court Program Fees Tabled by Judge Waterman at 1:05 PM. RESULT: NO ACTION REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN Judge Waterman adjourned the meeting at 1:05 PM DATE OF NEXT MEETING The next meeting will be held after the CJCC Council meeting on November 12, 2020.
